Animals are the most purest and most adorable pets on earth. They don't hate and have the ability to love unconditionally. With hearts bigger than ours, we don't deserve them but they deserve a home and loving family. Thankfully, there are beautiful organisations that will save them at any cost. These organisations are doing their best and can only do better with your help. Whether it's a small donation or adopting a pet, your hand makes a huge difference for our animals and for our organizations. Below will be a list of Animal rescue NPO's to donate to or adopt from and you may contact them through their details provided or fill out a form at the end of the article to get them to contact you.

Friends of Paws

Friends of PAWS is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare and responsible rehoming organization. They are dedicated to the rescue, sterilization and placement of stray, neglected, abused, abandoned and unwanted animals including females with babies. Their animals are placed in approved foster homes and they receive complete medical care as required prior to their adoption. Medical care, including, but not limited to, deworming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, surgery and hospitalization. The provision of food, supplements and transportation for the animals prior to adoption is also financed by Friends of PAWS. Adoption fees are reasonably low and it helps to recover only portion of the costs incurred. Support our RESCUED DOGS! Our dogs are not designer dogs. Most of them were not bred true but let us reassure you that each one of them is a diamond in the rough. Many are still out in the cold and like the ones we have rescued, they too deserve the right to be free from pain, injury, disease, hunger, thirst, abuse and fear. Most of all, they deserve the right to LOVE AND BE LOVED! Contact them on 0614746218 or at friendsofpawsKZN@gmail.com

MAZARAT ANIMAL RESCUE

Mazarat Animal Rescue is a registered NPO & PBO based in Waterfall KZN. We are a safe haven for rescued animals that endeavours to rescue, rehabilitate, sterilize and rehome rescued, abandoned and surrendered dogs and cats. All rehoming is done after a Home Check is passed and Adoption papers have been completed, after the animal is vaccinated and sterilized before they go to their new homes. They work closely with local veterinarians and assist our local and extended communities by running rabies, vaccinations and microchipping clinics at reduced cost throughout the year. They also visit local schools on request to chat to the kids about pet care, animal rescue, education on stray animals and about Rabies awareness. Mazarat Animal Rescue relies solely on the generosity and support of the public, it’s supporters, donors and Volunteers in order to operate. These monies are used to medicate, provide veterinary treatments, sterilize, feed rescues, and have a regular staff member/volunteer on the premises to care for their rescues. SAM & PINKY'S RESCUE CENTRE

Sam & Pinky’s Rescue Centre was originally known as Sam’s Critters Rescue KZN. It was founded in January/February 2019 by Samantha O’Maker. There was a great need for rescuers who deal with smaller animals, such as hamsters and rabbits, and unfortunately so few people who own them actually understand their true needs. The rescue was founded to help the often forgotten animals, and later began taking in kittens when there was a larger need. They changed their name recently to incorporate their co director, who owns Pinky’s Omnoms (a business which gives back to rescues). Their main goal is educating the public, sterrilization and responsible rehoming. They take in small animals and even some exotics, they also have experience with wild birds and often rehabilitate and release. They are in the process of registration and currently rely heavily on donations from the public to continue what they do.contact them on 078 986 8396 or sprescuecentre@gmail.com
